Fly Tipping 24 Oct 2022

Fly tipping unfortunately is back, after a temporary decline following reduction in number of recycling bins

This can be reported at https://glasgow.gov.uk/reportEnvironmentalCrime

The main problem is take-away food restaurants dumping their food waste, cooking oil, etc. when they close after midnight from vans on their way back home to Pollokshields.

Secondary problem is the two clothes bins being left full uncollected, again reporting that to Glasgow City Council is worthwhile using the above form(s) – the Council can bring pressure to bear on the clothing charities to either collect regularly or remove their bins.

  1. Hi Guys, I have noticed that Adams Diner on Albert Drive is a frequent tipper (their branded packaging and delivery notes were in an open bag). I ‘spoke’ to them about their behaviour and was given an abusive response. It has been suggested that any future tipping should be ‘returned’ to them in order that they may dispose of their refuse in a more appropriate manner.
